I hope this reaches you. I am Jamie Dow’s father. We have just completed a wonderful time in Tanzania, starting in Arusha, then Lake Manama, Ngorogoro crater, the Serengeti and Zanzibar. Our driver, Eddie, was experienced and outstanding. He related extremely well to us all. The hotels were splendid. It was a wonderful experience and the children loved it.
The air journey from Seronera to Zanzibar was a bit stressful. We were booked on a small plane with FlightLink FL04-06at 11.30 to Arusha, to change there to another small plane Tropical Air flight TAF22 at 14.00 from Arusha to Zanzibar. The 11.30 flight was full and despite our ticket we were told to wait for a later plane. This was also FlightLink and was going straight to Zanzibar and on to Dar-es-Salaam. We had to argue our way on to it because our ticket showed a different carrier taking us into Zanzibar. We took the last 5 seats, and leaving at 12.50 flew straight to Zanzibar arriving 1 hour earlier than we expected. Our luggage, 6 bags in the hold, had no destination labels, and might have gone on to Dar-es-Salam. But in God’s goodness, all were unloaded. Not so lucky the Koreans who got one wrong bag instead of one of theirs.
Anyway, this saga is just for your information in planning private tours. We had a wonderful time.
,,Dear Marly and Sylvia,
I just wanted to pass on my thanks for organising such an incredible safari last week and most importantly, thank you to John for being the most wonderful guide we could ask for. All the accommodations, meals and the itinerary were excellent, but it was John’s warm and friendly nature, knowledge of the animals and the environment and professionalism that really enhanced our safari experience. He was without doubt the best guide we have had on any type of tour that we have taken and we can’t thank him enough. Best regards,
